Yesterday, we reported that the Swiss Cup Basel was at the semi-final stage. Today it has concluded, and the winner has $40,000 CHF to enjoy.

The winner of the semi-final game between team Stoeckli and team Eden was team Eden, who moved on to play the winner of Karnusian/Ulsrud, which was team Ulsrud. This made the final Eden/Ulsrud. This was a very close game.

The final opened with two singles in the first two ends by team ulsrud, then team Eden answered back with a deuce to tie it 2-2 after three. The fourth end proved to be the turning point, with a 4 point end by team Ulsrud. Eden answered back with a deuce, making the score 6-4 Ulsrud, who then picked up a point in 6 to make it 7-4. Team Eden tied it up with a 3 point end in 7, but team Ulsrud managed a single point in 8 to take the 8-7 win.
