The "Road to the Roar" 2009 Olympic Pre-trials are underway in Prince George, British Columbia. Already, two teams have been eliminated, and two more are only one win away from qualifying for the trials. The format is a triple knockout, meaning that a loss in pool A moves you to pool B, a loss in B moves you to C, and a loss in C eliminates you. There are no playoffs, just the 4 people who get to the end of their respective pools will move to the trials. One will move on from A pool, one from B pool, and two from C pool.

In pool A, only one game remains. Team Scott will play team Webster for a spot at the trials. In pool B, six teams are left. Team Homan will play team McCarville, team Holland will play team Anderson, and team King will play team Larouche. Right now only two teams are left in C pool. Team Rankin will play team Middaugh. The loser of this game is eliminated from the tournament.
